The 240W E48SB bus converter has been developed to support the intermediate bus architecture to power multiple downstream, non-isolated, point-of-load (POL) converters.

Chungli, Taiwan, December 17, 2004 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, has introduced the 240W E48SB, eighth brick sized bus converter into their Delphi Series of Board Mounted DC/DC Power Converters.The 240W E48SB bus converter has been developed to support the intermediate bus architecture to power multiple downstream, non-isolated, point-of-load (POL) converters.

The E48SB single output, nominal 48V input, isolated bus converter provides up to 240W of power or 25A of output current in an industry standard, eighth brick footprint. With optimized component placement, creative design topology, and numerous patented technologies, the E48SB bus converters deliver outstanding electrical and thermal performance.

The Delphi Series E48SB product currently supports three output versions. The E48SB120 series features an input voltage of 38V to 55V and provides an unregulated output of 12V at 20A with an industry leading efficiency 96.3% at full load. The E48SB9R6 series provides an unregulated output of 9.6V at up to 25A with an industry leading efficiency 96.5% at full load. And finally, the E48SB8R0 series provides an unregulated output of 8.0V at up to 25A.

Delta's Delphi Series E48SB bus converter comes with a host of industry-standard features to insure that this unit will reliably perform in the harshest environments. All modules are fully protected against abnormal input/output voltage, current, and temperature conditions. The E48SB family of products also carries a full set of international safety approvals, including UL/cUL60950 and EN60950. An optional heatsink is available for more extreme thermal requirements.
