The Q48SB isolated bus converter with a nominal 48V input and single output provides up to 300W of power or 31A of output current in an industry standard, quarter brick footprint.
Chungli, Taiwan, April 9, 2004 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, has introduced the Q48SB, quarter brick sized, 300W bus converter into their Delphi Series of board mounted DC/DC power converters to support the intermediate bus architecture to power multiple downstream, non-isolated, point-of-load (POL) converters.
The Q48SB isolated bus converter with a nominal 48V input and single output provides up to 300W of power or 31A of output current in an industry standard, quarter brick footprint. With optimized component placement, creative design topology, and numerous patented technologies, the Q48SB bus converters deliver outstanding electrical and thermal performance.
The Delphi Series Q48SB product currently support two input ranges. The Q48SB120 series features an input voltage of 42V to 53V and provides an unregulated output of 12V at 20A or 25A. The Q48SB9R6 series features a wider input voltage range of 36V to 60V and provides an unregulated output of 9.6V at up to 31A. Typical efficiency for the 12V/25A module is 96%. The Q48SB bus converter comes with a host of industry-standard features to insure that this unit will reliably perform in the harshest environments. All modules are fully protected against abnormal
input/output voltage, current, and temperature conditions. These units also carry a full set of international safety approvals, including UL/cUL60950 and EN60950. An optional heatsink is available for more extreme thermal requirements. Sample quantities of Delta's Delphi Q48SB converters are available for immediate delivery. In OEM quantities of 1000 pieces, the 12V/20A unit price is US$43. Standard lead-time for this product is from stock to 8 weeks, depending on the output and volume.
